The Orbbec Gemini 336 is a high-performance stereo vision 3D camera belonging to the Gemini 330 series. It is engineered as an infrared-enhanced version of the Gemini 335, specifically designed to deliver superior depth imaging quality in challenging lighting conditions . 


This camera excels in applications such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), commercial shelf robots, outdoor delivery robots, and inspection robots, where reliable perception is critical. A key feature of the Gemini 336 is its integration with the NVIDIA Isaac Perceptor platform, a hardware-accelerated software stack for AMR perception, enhancing its capabilities for AI-driven workflows in both indoor and outdoor environments.


  • Enhanced Anti-Glare and Anti-Reflection Performance: The Gemini 336 incorporates a Near-Infrared (NIR) bandpass filter, which effectively filters out visible light. This design significantly improves the camera's active infrared imaging performance, reducing "holes" or missing data in depth maps caused by glare from shiny floors, reflective surfaces, and "ghost" images from repetitive patterns in the environment.

  • Powerful Depth Sensing Core: At the heart of the camera is Orbbec's self-developed depth engine chip, the MX6800 ASIC, which handles complex depth algorithms directly on the camera. It employs a high-performance active and passive stereo fusion imaging system, allowing it to maintain high-quality depth and RGB data output even in demanding lighting scenarios, from bright sunlight to low-light conditions.

  • High-Quality Specifications: The camera is capable of outputting high-resolution depth images and supports a wide diagonal depth field of view (FoV). It uses global shutter image sensors, offers high frame rates and low latency, and features a working range of 0.2 to 10 meters.
